The reservation and booking procedure is normally a two stage process in which the client first makes an open reservation that lasts for up to 2 years. This reservation is then converted into a booking for specific date as is decribed below.

Reservations can be made by phone, internet or post. The client receives the ticket(s) by post or email. Passengers will not be allowed to board the balloon without a valid ticket. The realization of flight will be confirmed after the passenger’s call 24 - 48 hours before the date chosen.

Cancellation: For security reasons or in case of bad weather the pilot has sole authority to cancel the flight, even at the take-off site on the day of the flight. Tickets remain valid until the expiry date and in the event of such cancellation, passengers will then be asked to choose another date. Under no conditions can Alpes Montgolfière be held responsible for any expenses incured in respect of travel or accommodation. In the event of cancellation by the passenger in the 72 hours preceding the flight reserved, or in the event of absence at the take-off site at the known time, the ticket(s) will be considered as used.

Validity of the tickets: All tickets are valid for period of 2 years from the date of issue (1 year for the extension of ticket). In the event of cancellation of the flight for security or weather reasons, the passenger can choose another date during the validity period of the ticket depending, of course, on availability.

Flight ‘Pays du Mont-Blanc’: To book a flight date the passenger must call us on +33.450.55.50.60. If the first attempt to book is made only during the last month of validity of the ticket, the ticket will be considered as used in cases of cancellation due to security or weather reasons. In such cases no extension to the validity of the ticket is possible. You choose the date depending on availability. Therefore you need to make your reservation as early as possible during the 2-year period to guarantee the maximum likelihood of a successful flight. However the owner of a flight ticket purchased with Alpes Montgolfière can ask for an extension in the event this person has been unable to realize its flight whitin the 730 days of validity. The lenght of the extension will then be of 1 yaer (i.e 365 days). The rate of this facility is 30 euros per person and includes the fees of issue of the new ticket valid for 1 year and the revaluation rate. The client must advise its willing by written letter before the expiry date of the ticket. After expiration, the ticket is considered as used.

Ride and Duration of flight: Due to the unreliability of weather forecasts and particularly of the winds, Alpes Montgolfière cannot guarantee the rides or the sites flown over. The duration of the flights given on our documents or web site is indicative and non-contractual. The pilot can stop the flight at any time for security reasons or adverse weather conditions.

Payment: Alpes Montgolfière accepts the following methods of payment; cheque (in euros), wire transfer, credit card (euro, master or visa) or holiday-voucher. Payment is made online or on collection of the ticket(s). For group bookings of minimum 20 people, 50% of the total amount is required on reservation and balance is due on the flight day at the latest. The number of passengers must be confirmed a minimum of 15 days beforehand. No partial or total cancellation is refundable after this date. For any cancellation of Alpes Montgolfière due to security or weather reasons, Alpes montgolfière refunds the money paid.

Refunds: Tickets are not refundable and are valid for 2 years from issue date until the flight done (within the limit of 2 years). Tickets are transferable only with Alpes Montgolfière agreement.

Regulations: No one can board the balloon without a valid ticket. Passengers are subject to the conditions cavering aerial transport stipulated by the convention of Warsaw. The pilot is sole authority on board. This means that he has authority over all passengers and sole authority to require passengers to disembark or to unload any object that might represent a danger for the aircraft. Pregnant women and children under 1.30meters high cannot be accepted on board.

Insurance: Every passenger is insured by virtue of the civil responsibility linked to the aircraft. Risk cover is in line with that required by the convention of Warsawa in terms of air passenger traffic. Objects taken on board by passengers are not covered by this insurance or Alpes Montgolière.

Tariffs: The tariff includes the equipment, staff, transfer back to meeting place, insurance. The tariff does not include accommodation (excepted for the Pack Sérénité package), transport to the meeting place or any extras. Tickets are valid for duration of 2 years from their issue date.

Agreement of terms and conditions: By making your reservation you indicate your acceptance of all these terms and conditions.

Terms and conditions specific to Alpes Montgolfière In respect of internet law, clients have10 days from the tickets’ issue date in which to cancel their order. After these 10 days no cancellation is possible. Any cancellation should be advised by written letter with ticket(s) and bank details.
